2021 Year Highlights + A Special Thank You

Well, what a year. These past 12 months changed it all for me. I took the leap to focus mainly on weddings due to the double year after postponements. To say that I enjoyed it is an understatement. It was honestly the most fulfilling; I’ve never felt more cemented in my brand and my love for wedding days has grown so much.  I couldn’t be more thrilled with all of the incredible couples who trusted me this year. I have made beautiful, genuine friendships throughout this process that have made my work feel so enriching. The amazing families of the couples that I have spent my time with this year have been a source of encouragement and support for me as well. And I can’t forget about my hardworking industry peers such as Kraft & Co. Floral + Meraki Beauty. Working alongside fellow wedding creatives makes me admire their work even more. They do so much for my couples that every little detail is worth the hard work.

One of my favorite moments this year has been having a special addition to my team. Having my guy Joe join me to film weddings has been so exciting to experience. Seeing his determination to pick up a new found skill and run with it to create wedding videography has encouraged me so much. I feel so motivated to keep pursuing what I love to do most. As we grow together in 2022, you’ll definitely see more video options for wedding days and engagements as well as documenting couples in many destinations. Colorado, Montana, California…here we come!

Speaking of destination weddings, here’s a little recap of some sessions and weddings that stood out the most. To start 2021, we did a honeymoon session in Riviera Maya, Mexico which was so great. We even took a mini vacation because why not? If you’re looking to spice up your honeymoon with a photo session, definitely check out this blog. April came after and we had the privilege of doing an anniversary session. This couple had  found me on social media and  flew me down to Savannah, Georgia for their session. It was a no-brainer to work with them. I even had my associate Allie fly down with me. We had a blast getting Linda all pretty for her shoot, so much that the unexpected weather changes weren't a problem at all. The impact of this first time experience for Linda and her hubby has been beyond wonderful. Receiving her messages filled with gratitude and appreciation towards what we created together are truly priceless. I honestly cry. Up next, Jacqueline + Ronnie’s destination engagement session still has me swooning. Their unique story, the perfect location at Yosemite National Park and their undeniable connection made this destination session such a gem. Read more about them on this blog. To wrap it up, Stephanie + Ryan’s upstate New York adventurous engagement session was a blast. When you think of New York, a big city and crowds comes to mind but when I think of their engagement session, it's the total opposite. Boho, classy, perfect weather and views; chef’s kiss. You have to check it out here.

To the phenomenal couples I had the privilege to captured this year, the wonderful families I had the opportunity to get to know, the hardworking, non stop wedding vendors I worked alongside, my amazing photographer associates Cara, Aryen + Allie, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This year wouldn’t have been possible without your presence in my space and for my couples. Here’s to another wonderful year; see you guys in 2022!

Here are my favorite images from all the weddings + engagement sessions this year, enjoy!
