Jaqueline + Ronnie | Yosemite National Park Engagement Session

Jaqueline + Ronnie | Yosemite National Park Engagement Session

May 24th, 2021

When I say I sobbed when I first pulled these photos up to edit, I mean I BAWLED. Uncontrollably. Let me share with you Jaqueline + Ronnie’s story. They truly have touched my heart and their engagement session at Yosemite National Park was nothing short of a dream. Jaqueline has been special to me from the moment I met her and getting to know Ronnie during this adventurous session has been so fun. Having my love Joe by my side shooting video topped off the entire experience for me. Adventurous engagement sessions like these are obviously about seeing, but when you can listen, truly listen to a love story… that’s where the magic happens.

Jaqueline + Ronnie’s connection is truly beautiful. Through the hardest times, especially when walking side by side wasn’t possible, their love became ever stronger. Jaqueline was always by Ronnie’s side, pushed him in his wheelchair, stood behind him in his walker then beside him in his crutches after his motorcycle accident. Being able to walk side by side at their engagement session after a whole year of not being able to brought tears to everyone’s eyes. This was definitely a huge milestone for this sweet, strong couple.

The epic sunrise at Tunnel View, Yosemite really was breathtaking. We watched the sun come up over half dome, illuminating Yosemite Valley and watching the low hanging clouds dissipate with the warm sun. It truly was one of the best days of my life — I’d argue that there is nothing else like it. Waking up at 3:00am to catch this beautiful Yosemite sunrise was beyond worth it. Adding a great touch to the experience was their outfits. Their engagement session outfits gave off an emotional feel using bold, neutral colors. The gorgeous earth tones matched and complimented the landscape beautifully and their vibe fit perfectly with the crisp chill in the air.

Next up was Glacier Point, Yosemite at blue hour. I felt so at home capturing Jaqueline and Ronnie at that moment. From exploring the adventurous roads to working under different lighting and weather conditions, it was so surreal shooting with these two. We had the best time with them on a true double date adventure. More than anything, shooting at Yosemite has been a dream of mine for so long. I finally have images to call my own from here, not the ones I see on Instagram all the time.

Just like we did with Jaqueline and Ronnie, we’d love to document you and your loved one at Yosemite National Park... storytelling your lovely bond in such a magical place brings the most unique and memorable moments. The images we will create together will last for a lifetime and I can’t wait to capture your story.
