The Hofmeister’s Intentional,Laidback Cork Factory Hotel Wedding

Throughout my blogs, I love to bring out the unique and distinct styles of each of my couples. I realize that working with all my couples brings new perspectives and outlooks. This makes me enjoy and appreciate all the weddings I have the honor to shoot. As for this blog, I want to focus your attention on something I don’t typically bring out. Although the Hofmeister’s have a wonderful modern rustic style, the vibe they had going on from the beginning to the end of their wedding is definitely worth talking about.

When I think of Liz and Dan, some words come to mind: easy going, fun loving nature, intentional. When I say all these qualities radiated the day of their wedding, I truly mean it. To start off, Liz was so detailed and intentional with the time she spent with Dan prior to the ceremony. Prior to the wedding day, Liz had a boudoir session with me. With those bridal boudoir photos, she gifted Dan a bridal boudoir album right before their first look. Talk about intentional and detailed. When it came to the first look, they had so much time to truly enjoy themselves together. They planned their wedding timeline with so much intention. This gave them the opportunity to have 45 minutes to enjoy their first look, take the most amazing photos with their bridal party and snap some photos with their family all before the ceremony. You could tell they were super laid back and stress free and that’s what made them the most happy. And honestly, I was giving it my best as well. As a photographer, I thrive in an easy going, laid back and intentional setting. My best work comes out of these environments. If you’re planning a micro wedding or adventurous elopement, you may think that the stress is inevitable. Something that can help you enjoy your wedding to the max is planning with intentionality what you truly want and give yourselves the necessary time to soak in each moment with each other and dear loved ones. There’s nothing better than creating your special day your way, with sufficient time to enjoy all the moments and remember the unforgettable memories created.

Thinking about the Hofmeister’s wedding day also reminds me that they know how to party. The reception was full of live music that was legitimately so good. The band Screaming Broccoli brought the original tunes that filled the room with laid back party vibes. So much so that they would hand the mic to guests during songs so they could belt out lyrics. I mean, how could the party stop like that. Even in this detail, Liz and Dan knew exactly what they wanted and went with their intuition. They had a blast, their family and friends had a blast, and I had a blast as well. It was SO good.
