Jessica + Michael’s Modern, Intimate Backyard Wedding | Pennsylvania Wedding Photographer

What comes to mind when you hear ‘elevated simplicity’? Or an ‘elevated enchanted garden experience’? For me, it’s easy to think about Jessica and Michael’s modern and intimate backyard wedding day. Not only was this outdoor wedding experience full of laidback luxury, but I truly felt like part of the family all day. I don’t quite think I’ll get over this day and it’s safe to say my vendor friends would agree with me. I’ll tell you why.

From the beginning of their big day, Jessica and Michael’s connection was authentic and beautiful. Their bride and groom first look was truly packed with heartfelt emotion anyone could feel. This was truly my favorite part of working with this sweet couple. It was an honor to witness it. To top it, both of their families were so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Both the vendors and I quickly felt at home. And quite literally.

Another special thing I cherish from this day was the attention to detail. There were beautiful spring wedding florals planted all across the property. Unique wedding florals were chosen for the bouquets along with table vases that were so stunning. The modern tableware, the baby's breath chandelier, and the food choices were carefully chosen and really reflected the elevated simplicity that this wedding had. Additionally, they had food trucks lining the driveway and a lounge area in the backyard for cocktail hour with a bar set up on the deck. From the ceremony set up in the backyard among some trees to the reception tent set up near the driveway in the most perfect way, everything felt intentionally aligned to Jessica and Micheal. I’d say that all present there would agree to this. Having a more intimate and simple wedding surrounded by their close family and friends made this day one to remember.

Feeling the honesty and authenticity at Jessica and Michael’s wedding has been an experience I will always treasure. It also reminds me that having a smaller wedding count makes the experience more seamless and enjoyable. Part of that has to do with the amazing vendor team I had the honor to work with. This sweet couple trusted me and my vendor team to bring to life their special day, something we genuinely enjoyed to the fullest. Without their vision of this nontraditional wedding setting, they wouldn’t have completely enjoyed their unique, simple, and elegant wedding day.
