Amanda + Chris | Ott's Exotic Plants & The Barn on Bridge Wedding | Pennsylvania Wedding Photographer

Amanda & Chris have become great friends of mine. Years ago, when I opened my first studio, Amanda was one of my first clients. We connected over our broken hearts and past experiences. Fast forward a few years, and she met Chris. In her couples session questionnaire, just before they got engaged, Amanda said “Chris was the sweetest person I had ever met, he was smart, funny, and obviously charming. He fell for my sarcastic smart ass charm almost instantly, our first date we basically pulled all of our skeletons out of the closet because we both knew we didn’t want to waste someone time and energy. We have pretty much been inseparable since. Chris is a somewhat serious most days but if you get him going, forget it, he won’t stop. I on the other hand am smiley and typically laughing. We bring out the best sides of each other and always have each others back. We both could have been described as broken from previous relationships but together we have been able to put the pieces back together.”

Their wedding day was a long time coming, a ton of stress and anxiety as ever changing restrictions due to Covid-19 kept coming and forcing them to rethink their plans. But they were determined to have their New Years Eve wedding, come hell or high water. And they did just that! They had a stunning first look at Ott’s Exotic Plants, and then married at The Barn on Bridge. The reception was intimate and cozy under the heated tent and we captured the most magical quintessential New Years Eve images.

I wanted to share one more thing Amanda said, because it perfectly encapsulates their relationship, and you can scroll below to see how gorgeous their day was. “Before I came along Chris never smiled in pictures. He was always super serious so I love that I can bring out the laugh in him. We like to joke and pick on each other. I love a corny joke and will crack up and he laughs because I laugh. Chris and I both had a crappy past and in each other we found hope and love that we never thought we’d have again. He’s the lines and I’m the color.”
